Types of Materials

  • The everyday luxury choice of material. This combination of materials offer the rich, warm look of solid gold at a fraction of the price, backed by the industrial strength of steel. It is created by bonding a thin layer of 75% pure gold (18k) onto a core of durable stainless steel.

They are usually indistinguishable from solid gold to the naked eye; has a rich, yellow luster.

Highly resistant to scratches, rust, and tarnish. The steel core prevents the piece from bending or warping (vs jewellery with higher % of gold).

  • Made for everyday wear. Rhodium is a rare, silvery-white metal from the platinum family. When plated over stainless steel, it creates a mirror-like finish that is brighter and whiter than standard silver or steel. This combination is designed to mimic the high-end aesthetic of white gold or platinum while remaining hypoallergenic.

Extremely bright, reflective, and cool-toned white finish.

The rhodium coating acts as a shield against scratches, while the steel core ensures the item is tough and waterproof.

  • Classic silver jewellery for everyday wear. β€œ925" indicates that the metal is 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other alloys (usually copper) to add strength, as pure silver is too soft for jewelry. It is a "noble metal," meaning it holds intrinsic value and is considered a timeless standard in jewellery making.

Has a distinctively soft, white, and lustrous moon-like glow that many find superior to steel.

Softer than steel and gold; prone to scratching and bending. It will tarnish (oxidise) over time when exposed to air but can be easily polished back to a shine.

  • Gold jewellery that’s made to last – 10k gold is an alloy consisting of 41.7% pure gold and 58.3% other metals (like zinc, copper, or nickel). Because it contains less gold than 14K or 18K, it is the hardest and most durable form of solid gold available, making it highly resistant to scratching and bending.

Many mid-century (1940s-1960s) vintage gold pieces were made with 10K gold.

A slightly paler, more subtle yellow than 18K gold due to the lower gold content.

Exceptional durability. It is the toughest karat of solid gold and does not tarnish, though it can trigger allergies in people very sensitive to copper or nickel.

  • The Diamond rival, moissanite was originally discovered in a meteorite crater. Almost all modern moissanite is lab-grown silicon carbide. It is statistically more brilliant than a diamond, meaning it reflects more light and emits more colorful flashes ("fire"). It is the second-hardest gemstone on earth, sitting just below diamond on the Mohs scale.

Colourless and exceptionally sparkly. It exhibits a "rainbow" disco-ball effect in sunlight, whereas diamonds sparkle with white light.

Scored 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale (Diamonds are 10), making it suitable for daily wear forever without scratching or clouding slay.
